OVERVIEW

Essence is a web destination for African American women. ESSENCE.com serves as a daily source for African American-related news, entertainment and community, and reflects the intimate tone and approach of the esteemed ESSENCE brand. Learn more about ESSENCE.com

The goal of this project was to recreate the website and give it more of an elegant approach. Giving the users a simple way to navigate thought each components. Working closely with the product manager and development team to build the vision.

Wireframes

Some basic wireframe mockups. This was the overall layout and structure in the beginning. After gathering feedback revisions was made establishing a standard visual hierarchy layout for all components.

Article Page Before and After

Elongated article page sprinkle with some widgets throughout. Promo, video, ads, read more strip articles and commerce block component. This is currently being functional with the development team.
